It’s a fair question, and I tell people it’s because I’ve been exactly where you are now. I started in the industry at 17 years old. I trained hard and got the opportunity to work with some premium brands like Crème de la Mer, Bobbi Brown and MAC.
I moved from Dublin to London with MAC Cosmetics where my own freelance career also took off. I worked on X-Factor, Strictly Come Dancing, MTV, Mama Mia The Musical, The Brit Awards, London Fashion week and a tonne of other events.

FAQ
Do I need to have makeup experience to do this course?
No there is no experience required, sharleen collins academy is an internationally recognised itec makeup academy. We’ll work with you whether your are a total beginner, or you have previous experience, and teach you everything you need to know about the industry, so you become a confident professional makeup artist.
Do I need a model for class?
No, you don’t need to worry about a model for class. In every class our students work with each other as the models.
Are there payment plan options?
Yes absolutely! We give a discount to any student who pays in full (as much as €500 off) we also do monthly payment options if someone prefers to spread their payments, (this option requires a deposit of 500 euro before you start the course to secure your spot.) we also use “humm” which is finance option, it’s really quick and easy to use and means you could get on our course for as little as €51/month.
Are there any additional costs through the course?
No there are no additional costs. The price of the course includes your registration, ITEC exams, a professional photoshoot, uniform. (only additional is if you wish to print your portfolio images which are optional)
Can I pick and choose the days I can attend class?
You can pick on the day of your interview with Sharleen which days/times of the course you would like to sign up for, but once we have agreed on days you must stick to those days as courses are fully booked.
Do I need to have a makeup kit?
Yes, you do need to bring your make up kit/brush set plus skincare to class every day. On your first day of class, you will be given a luxury brush set and you bring whatever makeup you have. Don’t stress over a kit, thats why you come to us to learn!
